How to setup a Computer Lab in your area.

The Computer Mobile Lab is available to any member newspaper willing to host a set of one day or half-day classes (Photoshop class must be a full day). Classes can be any subject currently offered by the TPA computer lab. Our preference is two days of training back to back (M-F).

Choose from: MacOS X, Quark, Photoshop, Pagemaker, InDesign, Acrobat, Dreamweaver. Click for Class Descriptions.

Requirements for Mobile Computer Lab Hosts.
  1. Have a large room with tables and chairs for at least 10 people (all facing the front of the room).
  2. Organize and promote the event to newspapers in your general area.
We bring the computer lab to your location!
The Mobile Lab consists of:
  1. 10 MacOS 10.5 Intel MacBooks
  2. All 10 can dual boot to Windows XP Pro
  3. 1 Instructor with Intel MacBook Pro (dual boot) and Projector.

TPA Mobile Computer Lab is FREE to all attendee's and the host if the event is attended by at least 3 member newspapers.

If the 3 member newspapers do not attend a fee of $450 per class will be charged to the host newspaper.
We want to encourage the host to get other newspapers in the area to attend and not make this a private computer training class.

Classes are "first come first served" with only a limited number of days per month.

To schedule a class contact Fred Anders at 1-800-749-4793 or by e-mail at fredanders@texaspress.com.
